This fine lens was made in Japan and some people said that the lens was intended to be put as a surveillance device within a robot. That is why they call this lens "Robotar". With the surveillance intention which requires lens sharpness as primary need, this lens's sharpness is extremely reliable. With a 35mm range, the lens is usually best for both landscapes and portraits.
